Middleback Range is a place in South Australia. It is found on the north-east side of the Eyre Peninsula. This area is south-west of the city of Whyalla. It stretches from the coast of Spencer Gulf in the east to the western side of the Middleback Range mountains.
About Middleback Range
Middleback Range was officially named on April 26, 2013. Its name comes from the nearby mountain range. This name was already used by local people for a long time. In 2014, the borders of Middleback Range were changed a bit. This happened when a new place called Cultana was created nearby.
Where is Middleback Range Located?
Middleback Range is part of a larger area called the federal Division of Grey. It is also in the state's electoral district of Giles. Part of its eastern side is managed by the City of Whyalla. The western side is in a special area called the Pastoral Unincorporated Area. This means it is not part of a local council.
The Lincoln Highway is a main road that goes through Middleback Range. This highway connects the city of Whyalla to the city of Port Lincoln.
