Early Life and High School Football
Michael grew up in Long Beach, California. He went to Woodrow Wilson Classical High School. He was a star player there. In his last year of high school, he gained 700 yards catching the ball. He also scored six touchdowns.
College Football Journey
Playing at Cerritos College
After high school, Michael played football at Cerritos College. He was one of the best receivers in California during his time there. He had some of the highest receiving totals in the state.
Time at Arizona State
He then moved to Arizona State University. In his two seasons playing for Arizona State, Michael caught the ball 72 times. He gained 897 yards and scored 9 touchdowns.
Professional Football Career
San Diego Chargers
In 2012, Michael Willie signed with the San Diego Chargers. He joined their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team. On August 27, 2013, he was placed on the reserve/injured list. This meant he could not play due to an injury. He was later released from the team on August 31, 2013.
Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens signed Michael on June 20, 2014. This happened after he did well in a special tryout camp. However, the Ravens released him on August 25, 2014.
San Jose SaberCats
