The Miniestadi was a special football stadium in Barcelona, Spain. Its name means "Mini Stadium" in English. It had 15,276 seats, which is a lot for a "mini" stadium!
This stadium was right across from Camp Nou. Camp Nou is the huge home stadium of FC Barcelona. The Miniestadi was home to FC Barcelona B, which is the club's reserve team. It also hosted their women's team and the Juvenil A youth team. The Miniestadi was replaced by the new Estadi Johan Cruyff, which opened in 2019.

A Home for Football Teams
The Miniestadi was a busy place for many football teams. It was like a training ground and a competition venue all in one.
FC Barcelona's Younger Teams
FC Barcelona B played their games at the Miniestadi for many years. This team is made up of younger players. They are hoping to play for the main FC Barcelona team one day. In 2019, they moved to the new Estadi Johan Cruyff. This new stadium is part of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper sports complex.
Another team, FC Barcelona C, also played at the Miniestadi. However, this team was stopped in July 2007.
Other Teams Played Here
The Miniestadi was not just for FC Barcelona teams. It also hosted the Barcelona Dragons. This was an American football team that played in NFL Europe. The Dragons played there until their team was stopped in 2003.
Sometimes, the national team of Andorra would also play their matches at the Miniestadi. Andorra is a small country near Spain.
A Stage for Music Stars
Besides football, the Miniestadi was also a popular place for big concerts. Many famous musicians performed there.
Famous Concerts at Miniestadi

- David Bowie, another music icon, performed on two nights in 1987. These concerts were part of his "Glass Spider Tour."

What Happened to the Miniestadi?
The Miniestadi is no longer standing today. It was part of a big plan called the Espai Barça project.
The Espai Barça Project
The Espai Barça project is a plan to improve all of FC Barcelona's sports facilities. As part of this plan, the Miniestadi was demolished in 2020. This happened after the new Estadi Johan Cruyff opened in 2019. The land where the Miniestadi once stood is now being used for a new indoor sports arena. This new arena is called the Nou Palau Blaugrana.
The new Estadi Johan Cruyff is located at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper campus. It is now the new home for FC Barcelona's reserve and women's teams.
