Francisco Ernandi Lima da Silva (born on July 2, 1959, in Brasilia), known as Mirandinha, is a former Brazilian footballer. He played as a striker, which means he was a player who mainly tried to score goals.

Mirandinha's Football Journey
Mirandinha started his football career in Brazil. He played for several clubs, including Ferroviário, Ponte Preta, and Botafogo. He became well-known for his skills as a striker.
Playing in England
In 1987, Mirandinha made history! He joined Newcastle United in England. He was the very first Brazilian footballer to play in English football. This was a big moment for him and for football. He played his first game in September 1987. He stayed with Newcastle until 1989, scoring 19 goals in 54 games. After his time in England, he went back to Brazil to play for Palmeiras.
Adventures in Portugal and Japan
After playing for Palmeiras again, Mirandinha moved to Portugal in 1991. He played for a team called Belenenses. Later that year, he returned to Brazil to play for Corinthians. He even scored two goals for them in a big competition called the 1991 Copa Libertadores.
Mirandinha's journey didn't stop there! He also played football in Japan. He joined Shimizu S-Pulse and later Shonan Bellmare. This showed how he loved to play football all over the world.
Playing for Brazil
Mirandinha also had the honor of playing for his home country, the Brazilian national team. He played in four international matches in 1987. He scored one goal for Brazil against England in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Life After Playing Football
After he stopped playing professional football, Mirandinha continued to be involved in the sport. He became a football manager, leading many teams in Brazil and even in other countries. He also worked as a director for a football club. In 2014, he was the manager of the Castelão stadium in Fortaleza. This stadium was one of the places where games were played during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
