The Mississaugas of Scugog Island are a First Nation community in Canada. They live on a special area of land called a reserve. This reserve is located in south-central Ontario, near Lake Scugog. It is part of the Durham Region.

How the Mississaugas of Scugog Island Are Governed

The Mississaugas of Scugog Island community has its own leaders. They choose a chief and two councillors. These leaders are elected following rules from the Indian Act.
