Modesto is a small village located in Macoupin County, which is in the state of Illinois, United States. According to the 2020 census, 182 people lived in Modesto. This number was a bit lower than the 252 people who lived there in 2000.

Where is Modesto Located?

Modesto is found in the northern part of Macoupin County. You can find its exact spot using these coordinates: 39.476855 degrees North and -89.982813 degrees West.

Illinois Route 111 is a main road that goes right through the village. It's called Main Street in Modesto. If you travel north on this road for about 8 miles (13 km), you will reach Waverly. If you go south for about 3 miles (5 km), you will get to Palmyra. Carlinville, which is the main town for Macoupin County (called the county seat), is about 19 miles (31 km) to the southeast.
