Mogadore is a small village located in Ohio, United States. It is found in two different counties: Portage and Summit. In 2020, about 3,811 people lived there. Mogadore is also a suburb of the larger city, Akron, meaning it is part of the Akron metropolitan area.

History of Mogadore
Mogadore has an interesting past! The area where Mogadore is located was first settled in 1807. A brave veteran from the American Revolutionary War, Ariel Bradley, was one of the first people to live here. For a while, the town was even called Bradleyville after him.
In 1825, its name changed to Mogadore. This unique name might have come from a city in Morocco, Africa, called Mogador. People think the name was inspired by a book about a ship captain's adventures in North Africa.

Mogadore is located in both Summit and Portage Counties in Ohio. It is a pretty small place, covering about 2.11 square miles (5.46 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with only a tiny bit being water.
