Mogelsberg is a small place in Switzerland. It used to be its own town, called a municipality. It is located in the Toggenburg area, which is part of the St. Gallen region (called a canton). Switzerland has many cantons, which are like states.
Mogelsberg: A Former Swiss Municipality
Mogelsberg was once an independent municipality. This means it had its own local government and managed its own affairs. It was a separate community within the canton of St. Gallen.
Joining Other Communities
On January 1, 2009, Mogelsberg joined with two other nearby municipalities. These were Brunnadern and St. Peterzell. Together, they formed a new, larger municipality called Neckertal. This merger helped the communities work together more closely.
