Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani is an important leader in Qatar. He was born on November 1, 1980. He is a diplomat, an expert in economics, and a politician.

Since March 7, 2023, he has been the Prime Minister of Qatar. He has also been the Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2016. He leads the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and is part of Qatar's Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investments.

Before these roles, Sheikh Mohammed was the deputy prime minister from 2017 to 2023. He also led the Qatar Investment Authority from 2018 to 2023.

Early Life and Education

Sheikh Mohammed was born and grew up in Doha, Qatar. He is a member of the House of Thani, which is the royal family of Qatar.

He studied at Qatar University. In 2003, he earned a degree in economics and business administration.

Sheikh Mohammed started his career in 2003. He worked as an economic researcher for the Ruling Family Council. From 2005 to 2009, he was the Director of Economic Affairs there.

On March 7, 2023, Sheikh Mohammed was appointed as the Prime Minister of Qatar. This happened as part of a change in the government.
