Monika Hilmerová (born October 7, 1974, in Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak actress. She won the Silver Dolphin award in 2001. This award was for Best Actress at the Festroia International Film Festival in Setúbal, Portugal. She received it for her role in the movie Spring of Life (2000).
Monika acts in movies and TV shows that use different languages. These include Czech, Slovak, English, and German. She was in Uprising (2001), which was nominated for a Golden Globe award. She also appeared in Brucio nel vento (2002) and the U.S. Emmy Award-winning TV show Frankenstein (2004). In March 2010, Monika Hilmerová became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. This means she helps UNICEF with their important work for children.

About Monika Hilmerová
Monika Hilmerová was born in Bratislava, which is the capital city of Slovakia. When she was younger, she studied at Comenius University. At the same time, she also studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts.
She started acting on stage at the Naive Theatre Radošina when she was sixteen. Later, in 2003, she joined the Slovak National Theatre. Monika is married to a dancer and choreographer. They have a daughter named Zara and a son named Leonard.
