Story of the Movie

Strange Creatures Appear

The story begins with a company called Terravex Oil. They are doing a special kind of drilling called fracking in North Dakota. The CEO, Reece Tenneson, and a scientist named Jim Dowd are in charge. During the drilling, they accidentally release three strange creatures from deep underground. These creatures destroy the drilling equipment!

Terravex manages to catch two of the creatures, but one of them gets away.

Tripp Meets Creech

Meanwhile, a high school student named Tripp Coley works at a junkyard. He dreams of leaving his town, so he's building his own pickup truck. One night, Tripp finds the escaped creature in the junkyard. He tries to catch it, but the creature gets away before he can tell anyone.

The next day, Tripp and his classmate Meredith find the creature again. It turns out the creature loves to drink oil! It hides inside the hood of Tripp's truck. Tripp becomes friends with the creature and names him Creech. He promises to help Creech find his way home.

Creech Becomes a Truck Engine

Tripp makes changes to his truck so Creech can control it. Creech becomes like a living engine for the truck! The truck acts like a special "wheelchair" that Creech can use to move around.

But the Terravex company is worried. They know there are more creatures underground. Reece Tenneson wants to protect his company's reputation. He plans to pump poison into the underground tunnels where the creatures live. He also sends a man named Burke to kill the two captured creatures. Jim Dowd, the scientist, doesn't agree. He realizes the monsters are smart and have feelings. They can even learn from each other!

Escape and Rescue Mission

Tripp and Meredith try to get help from Tripp's father, Wade. But Wade tells Burke where they are. Tripp, Meredith, and Creech have to escape in the truck. Burke and his team, along with Rick, chase them. They manage to get away by jumping over a train! They then hide at a hunting cabin.

Creech senses that his family is in danger. He heads to the Terravex headquarters where the other creatures are kept. Tripp and Meredith follow him. When they arrive, they find Creech's parents! But then, Terravex workers attack them, and Creech is captured. Tripp and Meredith are taken to Reece Tenneson.

The Final Chase

Jim Dowd decides to help Tripp and Meredith rescue the creatures. They get two more trucks and change them so Creech's parents can control them too. Jim helps them by stealing the Terravex truck that has Creech's parents on it.

At a car dealership, the creatures take control of the special trucks. The group then tries to escape up a mountain that leads to the underground tunnels. Terravex chases them up the mountain. On the way, Rick helps Tripp and the group get away from Burke. Rick even blocks the road to stop the chase!

Tripp finds out that the poison has been put into the tunnels. He gets into a big fight with Burke, who tries to push him into the drilling hole. Tripp and Creech manage to flip Burke's truck over. This destroys the poison machine and stops Burke. Creech saves Tripp from drowning.

Happy Ending

Finally, Creech and his parents go back home. The Terravex company is exposed for what they did to the creatures' home. Reece Tenneson is arrested for his crimes. Tripp and Rick become friends and build a new engine for the truck. Tripp and Meredith start a relationship.
