Mora is a special kind of neighborhood called a barrio. It is located in the town of Isabela, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 4,682 people lived there.

Mora's Past: A Quick Look

Puerto Rico used to belong to Spain. After the Spanish–American War, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This happened because of a special agreement called the Treaty of Paris of 1898.

Puerto Rico then became an unincorporated territory of the United States. This means it is a territory that belongs to the U.S. but is not a state.

In 1899, the United States government counted everyone living in Puerto Rico. This count is called a census. The census found that 972 people lived in Mora barrio at that time.
