The Early Life of Morris

Morris was born in a town called Kortrijk in Belgium. He loved to draw from a young age. He started his career working at a small animation studio. This studio was called the Compagnie Belge d'Actualités (CBA). While working there, he met other cartoonists who would also become very famous. After World War II, the animation studio where Morris worked closed down. But Morris kept drawing! He became an illustrator for different publications. He drew for Het Laatste Nieuws, which was a Flemish newspaper. He also worked for Le Moustique, a popular weekly magazine. For Le Moustique, he created around 250 covers and many other drawings.
