Mouna Noureddine is a famous Tunisian actress. Her real name is Saadia Oueslati, and she was born on January 23, 1937. She is well-known for her many roles in plays, movies, and TV shows. An artist named Mohamed Hedi Remnissi suggested her stage name, Mouna Noureddine.

About Mouna Noureddine
Her Early Life and Education
Mouna Noureddine went to elementary school in Hammam-Lif. Even as a young student, she loved acting. She was part of a local theater group called "Ennahdha ettamthilia," which means "the student rise."
After finishing school in 1952, she went to a college for future teachers in Tunis. But her passion for acting was strong. Two years later, she decided to follow her dream. She joined the Arabic theater school in Tunis instead.
When she was just fifteen, Mouna Noureddine met a young actor named Noureddine Kasbaoui. They met while rehearsing for a play called The Merchant of Venice. Later, they got married and had six children together. In 1954, she began working with the municipal Arabic theater group. This group was led by Zeki Touleïmat.
Becoming a Star Actress
The next year, Mohamed Agrebi, who directed the Tunis Municipality troupe, invited her to join his team. Mouna Noureddine quickly became a favorite. She was often chosen for the main roles in most of their plays. Her talent shone brightly on stage.

Mouna Noureddine has also starred in many Tunisian movies. Some of her well-known films are Khlifa the Tigneux, Sejnane, Fatma 75, Aziza, And tomorrow...?, The Man of Ashes, and The Season of Men. Her performances in Tunisia, North Africa, and Europe have earned her much praise. Critics and audiences alike have loved her work.
She has performed in famous theaters like the Théâtre de la Ville in Tunis. She also acted in plays at the Théâtre Récamier and the Théâtre de l'Odéon in France. She even performed at the Beethoven Festival, in Iran, and in Egypt.
On television, she has been in several popular TV series. These include El Khottab Al Bab (Suitors at the door), Mnamet Aroussia (The Dream of Aroussia), Choufli Hal (Find Me a Solution), and Nsibti Laaziza (My Dear Beloved Mother-in-Law). All these shows were directed by Slaheddine Essid.
Mouna Noureddine has been acting for over 50 years. Since 2002, she has also been the director of the Tunis City theater troupe. This was the first time a woman held this position! She continues to act in both Tunisian and international productions.
Awards and Honors
Mouna Noureddine has received many awards for her long and successful career. In 1985, she got an Honorary Prize from the Ministry of Culture. She has also been honored at many theater festivals in Tunisia and other countries.
