Mount Andromeda is a tall and impressive mountain found in the Canadian Rockies. It stands within the huge Columbia Icefield, right on the border between two famous places: Banff National Park and Jasper National Park.
You can easily spot Mount Andromeda from the Icefields Parkway, which is a scenic highway (Highway 93). It's located about 2.3 kilometers southwest of Mount Athabasca. The mountain got its name in 1938 from Rex Gibson, who was the president of the Alpine Club of Canada. He named it after Andromeda, a princess from ancient Greek myths.
