Mount Biddle is a tall mountain located in the beautiful province of British Columbia, Canada. It is part of the amazing Rocky Mountains.

Where is Mount Biddle?
Mount Biddle stands in the Bow Range of the Rocky Mountains. This area is in British Columbia, Canada. The mountain is about 3,320 metres (10,890 ft) (or 10,892 feet) high. It rises 731 metres (2,398 ft) (about 2,398 feet) above a place called Opabin Pass. This pass separates Mount Biddle from another peak, Mount Hungabee.
Mount Biddle is very close to Lake McArthur. It is also found within the Lake O'Hara area, which is a popular spot in Yoho National Park.
How Mount Biddle Got Its Name
The mountain was named in 1894 by Samuel E.S. Allen. He named it after his friend, Anthony Joseph Drexel Biddle, who was an author and publisher. Allen described Mount Biddle as a "gigantic peak" or a "peaked wall." He thought it would be very hard to climb from the north side.
Another part of Mount Biddle, called Curtis Peak, was named for a mathematics teacher named Rest Fenno Curtis.
First Climbers
The first time people successfully climbed Mount Biddle was in 1903. The climbers were August S. Eggers and Herschel Clifford Parker. They were guided by two brothers, Christian Kaufmann and Hans Kaufmann.
