Mount Callaghan is a special kind of mountain called a volcanic peak. It is found in the beautiful area of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. This mountain is about 20 kilometers (about 12 miles) west of the town of Whistler.

Mount Callaghan is located near the start of the Squamish River. It sits between two large areas of ice, the Powder Mountain Icefield and the Pemberton Icefield. Below its southern side, you can find a lake called Callaghan Lake.

In 1999, people noticed a crack forming at the very top of Mount Callaghan. The next year, in 2000, a part of the summit actually broke off and fell down.
