Marion Moseby is a well-known character from the Disney Channel shows The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its spin-off, The Suite Life on Deck. He is played by actor Phill Lewis. Mr. Moseby is famous for being a very proper and sometimes strict manager. He often finds himself dealing with the wild plans of Zack and Cody Martin, but deep down, he cares a lot about them. He has also appeared in special crossover episodes of other popular Disney shows like That's So Raven and Hannah Montana.

Meet Marion Moseby
Life at the Tipton Hotel
In The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Mr. Moseby is the manager of the fancy Tipton Hotel. He uses big words and speaks many languages, like French and Japanese. Even though he often seems annoyed by Zack and Cody's pranks, he actually cares for them. He once even said he would never have kids of his own because of them! We learn that he started working at the Tipton as a bellhop a long time ago.
Mr. Moseby is also like a father figure to London Tipton, the hotel owner's daughter. Her real father is rarely around. Mr. Moseby taught London many things, from how to walk and ride a bike to how to drive. He always helps her with her problems. London, in turn, respects him a lot and sees him as family.
Adventures on the SS Tipton
In The Suite Life on Deck, Mr. Moseby leaves the Tipton Hotel to become the manager of the SS Tipton, a cruise ship that is also a school. He's been there for three months when Zack and Cody arrive for their school program. Their arrival makes him scream and jump overboard!
On the ship, he continues to try and keep Zack, Cody, and London out of trouble. He's always running around to make sure everything is in order. People often joke about his height, especially Zack and London. Despite his strictness, he truly cares for the students on the ship.
In the episode "Twister: Part 1", we find out that famous basketball player Dwight Howard is his half-brother. Mr. Moseby is also a big fan of chess and even has his own blog about the game. In the final episode, "Graduation on Deck", he stands up to Mr. Tipton to make sure the students can graduate. He then proposes to Miss Tutweiller, and she says yes! He says a heartfelt goodbye to London, and then to Zack and Cody, admitting he will miss them.

Besides The Suite Life shows, Mr. Moseby has popped up in other Disney Channel series. He appeared in That's So Raven, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and I'm in the Band.
He also appeared in an episode of Jessie. In this episode, we learn that after his time on the SS Tipton, he became the manager of the Tipton Hotel in New York City. He meets Jessie and is surprised by how much she looks like his former cruise student, Bailey Pickett. Both characters are played by the same actress, Debby Ryan.

Miss Emma Tutweiller
Miss Tutweiller is the teacher for Zack, Cody, London, and their friends on the SS Tipton. Mr. Moseby starts to like her, even though he tries to hide it at first. London and Zack try to set them up, and they start dating. They have some disagreements but eventually become an official couple. In the final episode, "Graduation on Deck", Mr. Moseby proposes to her, and she accepts!
Family Members
- Nia Moseby - Nia is Mr. Moseby's sixteen-year-old niece. She works at the candy counter at the Tipton Hotel for a summer. Mr. Moseby wants to teach her to be more responsible. Nia appears in six episodes during Season Three of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.
- Beulah Moseby - This is Mr. Moseby's mother, though we never see her. She seems to favor his brother, Spencer. She is mentioned in several episodes and is described as a strong personality.
- Rose Moseby - Mr. Moseby's grandmother, who appears in the episode "A Nugget of History". She helps Zack with his history homework. She carries a very large purse that seems to hold all sorts of impossible things, like a baseball bat or a vacuum cleaner!
- Spencer Moseby - Spencer is Mr. Moseby's older brother. He is a wealthy man who is also a little person. The two brothers often don't get along.
- Lily Moseby - Lily is another aunt of Nia's. She was supposed to take care of Nia before Mr. Moseby, but it didn't go well, and she moved to Alaska!
- Dwight Howard - Dwight Howard is Mr. Moseby's younger half-brother. He is a famous basketball player. He appears in an episode of The Suite Life on Deck where Mr. Moseby challenges Zack, Woody, and Cody to a basketball game against Dwight and his friends.
