About Munno Para Downs
Munno Para Downs is a suburb that was officially named in 1983. It was created from a part of the larger Munno Para district.
How the Boundaries Changed
The borders of Munno Para Downs were updated in 2011. This happened after a big road called the Northern Expressway was built.
The suburb's edges follow several roads and natural lines. These include the Northern Expressway, Angle Vale Road, Dalkeith Road, and Main North Road. They also include Alawoona Road and some older farm areas.
Transport and Local Services
Even though the Gawler railway line runs through Munno Para Downs, there isn't a train station right in the suburb. The closest train station is Kudla, which is just north of Dalkeith Road.
Emergency Services in the Area
The Dalkeith brigade of the South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) is located in Munno Para Downs. You can find their station at the corner of Dalkeith and Coventry Roads. The CFS is a volunteer group that helps protect communities from fires and other emergencies.
