Nae Lăzărescu (born Niculae Lăzărescu) was a well-known Romanian actor and comedian. He was born in Bucharest, Romania, on September 8, 1941. Nae Lăzărescu became famous for his funny performances on TV, on stage, and in movies. He started his acting career in 1963.
He was best known for his work at the Constantin Tănase Theater. Nae Lăzărescu was also famous for his comedy duo called "Nae şi Vasile." For over 20 years, he performed with his friend and fellow actor, Vasile Muraru. They often appeared together in New Year's Eve TV specials on Antena 1.
Nae Lăzărescu passed away on December 19, 2013, in Bucharest, at the age of 72. He was buried on December 21 in Focșani, Vrancea County.

Nae Lăzărescu was born on January 30, 1940, in a simple neighborhood of Bucharest. He grew up surrounded by his parents' love. He once mentioned that his school class had 64 children.
His interest in acting began when he was very young. In his first year of school, he met famous actors like Vasile Tormazian. He also met other well-known performers such as Puiu Călinescu and Alexandru Gheorghiu.
While studying at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Nae Lăzărescu joined a satirical theater group. This was a big step for him. After this, he worked at Romanian Rhapsodie in the platform section. He even became friends with Aurelian Andreescu, a popular singer from the 1970s.
Nae Lăzărescu officially started his acting job in 1963. He joined the Constantin Tănase Theater. This theater became his home for 50 years, almost his entire life. He performed there with his stage partner, Vasile Muraru. Their comedy acts are remembered in Romanian art history. Their humor was strong and often commented on Romanian politics and daily life.
