Trinity first joined WWE in 2009. She trained in their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), and became the first-ever FCW Divas Champion. In 2010, she competed in the all-female third season of NXT, finishing in second place. She made her main roster debut in 2012 as part of The Funkadactyls with Cameron.

As a solo wrestler, Naomi has won the SmackDown Women's Championship two times. In 2022, she won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Sasha Banks. After a disagreement, she left WWE for a while. In 2023, she joined Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling and became the TNA Knockouts World Champion. Naomi returned to WWE in January 2024 at the Royal Rumble event.

Outside of wrestling, Naomi was a dancer for the Orlando Magic basketball team and rapper Flo Rida. She was also a main cast member on the WWE reality TV show Total Divas from 2013 to 2019. She also acted in the 2017 movie The Marine 5: Battleground.

Early Life and Dance Career

Trinity McCray was born in Sanford, Florida. Before becoming a wrestler, she was a professional dancer. She danced for the Orlando Magic basketball team. She also worked as a background dancer for the famous rapper Flo Rida.

Professional Wrestling Journey

Starting Out in WWE (2009–2011)

In August 2009, Trinity McCray signed a contract with WWE. She started her training in their special wrestling school called Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).

On June 20, 2010, Naomi made history by defeating Serena Deeb to become the first-ever FCW Divas Champion. This was a big achievement for her.

Later in 2010, Naomi joined the third season of NXT, a show where new wrestlers compete. Her mentor was Kelly Kelly. Naomi showed off her skills, winning several matches. She finished in second place in the competition, losing to Kaitlyn. In January 2011, she lost her FCW Divas Championship to AJ Lee.

The Funkadactyls Era (2012–2014)

On January 9, 2012, Naomi made her debut on Raw. She teamed up with Cameron to form a dancing duo called The Funkadactyls. They were the valets (managers) for the wrestler Brodus Clay.

At the TLC event in December 2012, Naomi won a special "Santa's Little Helpers" match. This earned her a championship match against Divas Champion Eve Torres, but she was not able to win the title that night.

The Funkadactyls, along with Brodus Clay and Tensai, were known as Tons of Funk. They had a big match planned for WrestleMania 29, but it was moved to the next night on Raw. Tons of Funk won that match.

In 2013, Naomi and Cameron were part of the reality TV show Total Divas. This led to a storyline where the Total Divas cast had a rivalry with Divas Champion AJ Lee. Naomi competed in a four-way match for the Divas Championship at Night of Champions, but Lee kept her title.

At Survivor Series, the Total Divas team won a big tag team elimination match. Towards the end of 2013, The Funkadactyls and Tensai decided to stop working with Brodus Clay because of his bad attitude.

In February 2014, Naomi got a serious eye injury during a match. She returned in March, teaming with Cameron to win a match. At WrestleMania XXX, Naomi competed for the Divas Championship but did not win.

Later in 2014, Naomi and Cameron started having disagreements, which led to them fighting each other. Naomi won their match at Survivor Series, where she was the last person left for her team in a big elimination match.

The Divas Revolution (2014–2016)

In late 2014, Naomi got involved in a story with The Usos (her husband Jimmy Uso and his brother Jey Uso) and The Miz. The Miz tried to help Naomi with her music career, which made Jimmy Uso upset.

In April 2015, Naomi attacked Paige after a match, which meant she became a "heel" (a bad guy in wrestling). She then teamed up with Tamina Snuka. They called themselves Team B.A.D. (Beautiful and Dangerous).

On July 13, 2015, Stephanie McMahon announced the "Divas Revolution". This brought new talent from NXT, like Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch, to the main roster. Sasha Banks joined Naomi and Tamina to form Team B.A.D. The three teams (Team B.A.D., Team PCB, and Team Bella) had many matches.

In February 2016, Sasha Banks left Team B.A.D., and Naomi and Tamina attacked her. Naomi then got injured in May and was out of action for a while.

SmackDown Women's Champion (2016–2017)

In July 2016, Naomi was moved to the SmackDown brand. She debuted a new look and entrance called "The Glow" and became a "face" (a good guy in wrestling) again.

On February 12, 2017, Naomi defeated Alexa Bliss at Elimination Chamber to win the SmackDown Women's Championship. This was her first championship in WWE, and she was the first African-American woman to win it. However, she had to give up the title a few days later because of an injury.

Naomi returned to the ring on April 2, 2017, in her hometown of Orlando at WrestleMania 33. She won the SmackDown Women's Championship again, making Alexa Bliss give up. She successfully defended her title against Lana multiple times. In July, Naomi showed off a special championship belt with colorful LED lights.

At SummerSlam on August 20, Naomi lost the SmackDown Women's Championship to Natalya, ending her reign after 140 days.

Later WWE Career and Departure (2018–2022)

On January 28, 2018, Naomi competed in the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match. She lasted a good amount of time before being eliminated. At WrestleMania 34, Naomi won the first WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal by eliminating Bayley.

In June, she competed in her first Money in the Bank ladder match, which was won by Alexa Bliss. She also took part in Evolution, the first all-women's pay-per-view event.

Naomi had a storyline rivalry with Mandy Rose in 2019, after Rose tried to flirt with Naomi's husband, Jimmy Uso. They eliminated each other from the Royal Rumble match that year.

After a break due to health issues, Naomi returned at the Royal Rumble in January 2020. She competed for the SmackDown Women's Championship at Super Showdown and WrestleMania 36, but did not win. In September, she had surgery.

In 2021, Naomi was moved back to the SmackDown roster. She started a rivalry with Sonya Deville, who was an authority figure. In February 2022, Naomi teamed with Ronda Rousey to defeat Sonya Deville and Charlotte Flair.

At WrestleMania 38, Naomi and Sasha Banks won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. However, in May 2022, Naomi and Banks left a Raw show due to a disagreement about their storylines. They were suspended, and the championship was left empty. In March 2023, Naomi announced she was no longer with WWE.

Time in TNA Wrestling (2023–2024)

On April 28, 2023, Trinity Fatu debuted in Impact Wrestling (which later became TNA Wrestling) under the ring name Trinity. She quickly stated her goal to win the championship.

At Slammiversary on July 15, Trinity defeated Deonna Purrazzo to win the Impact Knockouts World Championship for the first time. She successfully defended her title multiple times, including against Purrazzo, Alisha Edwards, and Mickie James.

On January 13, 2024, at Hard To Kill, Trinity lost the TNA Knockouts World Championship to Jordynne Grace, ending her reign after 182 days. Her last match with TNA aired in February 2024.

Return to WWE (2024–Present)

On January 27, 2024, Naomi made a surprise return to WWE at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. She entered the women's Royal Rumble match at number 2 and lasted over an hour, showing her amazing endurance.

On February 2, Naomi was officially assigned back to the SmackDown brand. She quickly qualified for the women's Elimination Chamber match but was not successful in winning it. At WrestleMania XL, Naomi teamed with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair to defeat Damage CTRL.

Naomi continued to compete for championships, including the WWE Women's Championship and the Money in the Bank ladder match. On December 20, 2024, Naomi stepped in for an injured Jade Cargill to defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Bianca Belair.
