This area is located in Western Pennsylvania. It is part of the larger Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area. Natrona Heights is about 24 miles (39 km) northeast of the city of Pittsburgh. It is close to the Allegheny River and other communities like Natrona, Brackenridge, and Tarentum.
