Nemanja Gudelj (Serbian Cyrillic: Немања Гудељ; born 16 November 1991) is a professional footballer from Serbia. He plays as a defensive midfielder or centre-back for the Spanish team Sevilla. He also plays for the Serbian national team.

Club career
Nemanja Gudelj has played for several football clubs around the world. He started his career in the Netherlands, then moved to China, Portugal, and finally Spain.
NAC Breda
Gudelj signed his first professional contract with NAC Breda in July 2009. Even though he was often on the bench, he didn't play in an official game during his first season.
AZ Alkmaar
In the summer of 2013, Gudelj moved to AZ Alkmaar. He signed a four-year contract with the club. His father, who was the manager at NAC, helped with the transfer.
Ajax
On 6 May 2015, it was announced that Gudelj would join AFC Ajax for the 2015–16 season. His younger brother, Dragiša, also joined the Ajax youth team. Their father, Nebojša, became a scout for the club. In November 2016, Gudelj was removed from the main team. This happened after he said he found it hard to stay motivated when he wasn't playing.
Tianjin TEDA
On 5 January 2017, Ajax announced that Gudelj would move to Tianjin TEDA in China. The transfer happened on 25 January 2017.
Guangzhou Evergrande
On 28 January 2018, Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao announced that Gudelj had joined them from Tianjin TEDA. He signed a two-year contract. He played his first game for Guangzhou on 21 February 2018. He scored his first goal for the club on 14 March in an AFC Champions League match. This goal helped Guangzhou Evergrande win 2–0.
Sporting CP (loan)
On 23 August 2018, Gudelj was loaned to Primeira Liga side Sporting CP in Portugal. He played for them during the 2018–19 season.
Sevilla
On 23 July 2019, Gudelj signed with the Spanish team Sevilla FC. In July 2020, he tested positive for COVID-19. He recovered and continued playing for the team.
International career
Nemanja Gudelj has played for Serbia at different levels. He played for the Under-19 and Under-21 teams.
He made his debut for the senior squad on 5 March 2014. This was in a friendly match against the Republic of Ireland. Serbia won the game 2–1. He scored his first goal for Serbia later that year, on 18 November. It was in a friendly match against Greece, which Serbia won 2–0.
In November 2022, Gudelj was chosen to be part of Serbia's team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He played in group matches against Brazil and Switzerland.
Gudelj also played for Serbia in UEFA Euro 2024. He started in the team's first match against England. He also played in a group stage match against Denmark.
Personal life
Nemanja Gudelj comes from a football family. He is the son of former football player Nebojša Gudelj. He also has a younger brother named Dragiša Gudelj, who is also a footballer.
In August 2023, Gudelj married his girlfriend Anastasija Ražnatović. She is the daughter of the famous singer Ceca. They had a private ceremony.
