Nestlé Milk Chocolate was a yummy chocolate bar made by the company Nestlé. It was a simple bar of smooth milk chocolate. This chocolate bar was sold in many different countries around the world. Nestlé Milk Chocolate was stopped being made in 2016. The special recipe for this chocolate was first created by the company's founder, Henri Nestlé, way back in 1875.

The Story Behind Nestlé Milk Chocolate

Why Was It Made?

Nestlé Milk Chocolate was created to compete with other popular chocolate bars. One of its main rivals was the Hershey bar, which was very well-known in North America. Nestlé wanted to offer a similar type of chocolate bar.

Comparing Chocolates

Nestlé makes many different kinds of chocolate. The Nestlé Milk Chocolate bar was quite similar to another product called Nestlé Crunch. The main difference was that Nestlé Crunch has crispy puffed rice mixed in. Nestlé Milk Chocolate, on the other hand, was just smooth chocolate.

You might also know a chocolate bar called Yorkie. Even though Nestlé makes Yorkie now, it's a totally different chocolate bar. Yorkie was originally made by a British company called Rowntree of York. They made it to compete with another famous chocolate, Cadbury Dairy Milk.

Nestlé also produces many other popular chocolate and syrup brands that you might recognize!

How It Was Sold

Nestlé Milk Chocolate bars were sold in a few different sizes. You could buy them as individual bars, which weighed about 1.45 ounces (or 41.1 grams). They were also sold in bigger boxes that contained 24 bars.
