Geography

Downtown New Milford is located right in the middle of the town of New Milford. It sits in the valley of the Housatonic River. The western part of this area follows the Housatonic River and another smaller river called the East Aspetuck River.

Roads and Travel

The area stretches north to Paper Mill Road and south to Hine Hill Road. On the eastern side, it follows roads like Prospect Hill Road (Connecticut Route 67), Mallett Lane, Heacock Crossbrook Road, and Park Lane Road (U.S. Route 202).

U.S. Route 202 goes right through the center of Downtown New Milford. If you travel northeast on Route 202, you'll reach Litchfield in about 18 miles (29 km). If you go south, you'll get to Danbury in about 15 miles (24 km). Route 67 heads southeast from New Milford to Roxbury, which is about 4 miles (6 km) away.
