Exploring Newfields' Location
This community is found on the eastern side of the town of Newfields. It sits right next to the Squamscott River. This river also marks the border with the nearby town of Stratham.

The Newfields CDP stretches along the river. It goes south to Parting Brook and north to another small stream. To the west, it reaches Meadow Road. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Newfields CDP covers about 1.0 square kilometer (or 0.38 square miles) of land. There is no water area within the CDP itself.
Main Roads and Nearby Towns
New Hampshire Route 85 runs through the middle of Newfields. It's known as Main Street here. This road leads northeast for about 0.8 miles (1 km) to New Hampshire Route 108. If you go south on Route 85, you'll reach the center of Exeter in about 4 miles (6 km).
Another town, Durham, is about 8 miles (13 km) north. You can get there by taking Routes 85 and 108. New Hampshire Route 87 (Piscassic Road) goes west from Newfields. It leads about 6 miles (10 km) to Route 125 in Epping.
