Noodle and Doodle was a fun and educational live-action TV show for kids. It first aired on September 25, 2010, and finished on March 9, 2013. The show was created by John McCoy and produced by Kristopher Updike. It was the first long TV series to be shown on Sprout.

Show Format: Cooking and Crafts

The show followed Sean Roach, who drove a cool double-decker bus around West Michigan and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Sean would visit families to get awesome ideas for healthy recipes and fun crafts.

Doodle's Blueprints

After getting ideas, a virtual bus-shaped computer named Doodle would draw a "blueprint." This blueprint showed Sean exactly what he could make. Sean then taught viewers how to create these healthy recipes and crafts step-by-step.

Doggity's Animated Adventures

The show also had a cartoon part called "Doggity's." In this segment, Sean's pet beagle, Doggity, would make recipes with his dog friends. This all happened in a restaurant that was part of Doggity's imagination. Sometimes, Sean and the kids would even reuse something from a recipe to make a craft!

Meet the Characters

The show featured a small cast of main characters, each bringing something special to the screen.

Sean: The Host and Driver

  • Sean (played by Sean Roach) – Sean was the main host of the show. He drove the special bus and was the one who taught everyone how to make the recipes and crafts.

Noodle McNoodle: The Helpful Puppet

  • Noodle McNoodle (voiced by Bianca Goode in Season 1 and Stacy Nesbit in Season 2) – Noodle was a cute puppet who helped Sean with the cooking and crafting. She was known for using her "noodle," which means her brain, to think of ideas. Sometimes, Noodle would even wear different costumes to match the episode's theme!

Doodle: The Idea Machine

  • Doodle – This was the virtual, bus-shaped computer. Doodle was super important because it created all the recipe and craft ideas for Sean to make.

Doggity: The Chef Beagle

  • Doggity (voiced by Lucien Dodge) – Doggity was Sean's pet beagle in the live-action parts of the show. In the animated "Doggity's" segments, he became a chef in his imaginary restaurant. At the end of every cartoon, he would say, "Now that's doggone good!" and give a wink.

Doggity's Restaurant Crew

  • Deedledee (voiced by Alison Brie) – Deedledee was a poodle who worked as a waitress in Doggity's restaurant. She would tell Doggity what the customers had ordered.
  • Mack (voiced by Kevin Smith) – Mack was a bulldog who worked as a cook in the restaurant. He often made a mess when trying to cook! After Doggity made the dish, Mack would often say, "It'll never work," even though it always did.
  • Tony (voiced by Tim Whitnall) – Tony was a pug who dressed like a sea captain and also worked as a cook. He loved to tell stories about his life that related to the customers' orders.

Episode Overview

Noodle and Doodle had two seasons with a total of 26 episodes. Each episode usually had two different segments, making for 52 mini-adventures!
