North Karelia facts for kids
North Karelia (called Pohjois-Karjala in Finnish) is a beautiful region in eastern Finland. It's part of the larger area known as Karelia. This region shares borders with other Finnish areas like Northern Savonia, Southern Savonia, Kainuu, and South Karelia.
North Karelia is famous for its many lakes and clean fresh water. The biggest lake in the region is Pielinen. It's a great place for nature lovers and outdoor adventures!
