North Muskegon is a city located in Muskegon County, which is part of the U.S. state of Michigan. In 2020, about 4,093 people lived here. This number was a bit higher than the 3,786 people who lived there in 2010.

Geography of North Muskegon
North Muskegon is found in the western part of Muskegon County. It sits on the north side of Muskegon Lake. This lake is connected to the much larger Lake Michigan.
The city of Muskegon, which is the main city of the county, is located across the lake to the south. The Muskegon River flows into Muskegon Lake on the eastern side of North Muskegon. The channel that connects Muskegon Lake to Lake Michigan is just west of the city.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, North Muskegon covers a total area of 4.12 square miles (10.67 km2). Most of this area, about 2.33 square miles (6.03 km2), is water. The land area is about 1.79 square miles (4.64 km2). This means that more than half of the city's total area is water.
