North Patchogue (/ˈpætʃɒɡ/, PATCH-awg) is a small community. It is known as a hamlet and a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a specific area defined for census purposes. North Patchogue is located on Long Island in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It is part of the Town of Brookhaven. In 2020, about 6,751 people lived here.

Geography and Location
North Patchogue covers an area of about 5.3 square kilometers (2.0 square miles). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
The community is easy to reach by road. It is located near important highways like NY-27 (Sunrise Highway) and NY-112 (Medford Avenue).
North Patchogue is also home to two waterways. These flow into Patchogue Lake and the Patchogue River. One of these waterways is Canaan Lake.

- Michael P. Murphy (1976-2005) was born in North Patchogue. He was a brave Navy SEAL. He received the Medal of Honor after he died in 2007. This award was for his courage during a mission in Afghanistan in 2005.
