Northern Ireland has been a part of the Commonwealth Games for a long time. They have competed in 19 out of 21 games so far. Their first appearance was in 1934.

Northern Ireland did not join the games in 1930. Back then, there was one team representing all of Ireland. They also missed the games in 1950.

Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games

The Commonwealth Games are a big sports event. Athletes from countries and territories of the Commonwealth of Nations compete. Northern Ireland has its own team for these games.
