Northern Light Orchestra facts for kids
The Northern Light Orchestra is a special music group that plays Christmas-themed songs. It started in 2009. This group is called a "supergroup" because it's made up of more than 20 amazing musicians. These artists are already famous from playing in popular heavy metal and hard rock bands. Their music sounds a bit like another famous group called Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
It's good to know that this group is different from another one called Northern Lights Orchestra, which made an album called What If Mozart Wrote "White Christmas".
About the Music Group
The Northern Light Orchestra has many talented singers and musicians. These artists come from well-known bands like The Beach Boys, Alice Cooper, Survivor, Megadeth, Guns N' Roses, and Kiss. Together, the artists who have played with the Northern Light Orchestra have sold over 200 million albums around the world!
In 2009, the orchestra put on a one-hour live concert. Many of the musicians from their first album, Spirit of Christmas, performed in this show. This special Christmas concert was shown on TV channels like JCTV, Daystar Network, and TCT. It might have also been shown on some PBS channels.
