Northside Christian Academy is a private Christian school located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It teaches students from pre-kindergarten up to 12th grade. The school was started in 1961 by Northside Baptist Church. Its mascot is the Knight, and all its sports teams are known as the Knights. The school is officially recognized by several groups, including the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

School History
Northside Christian Academy first opened its doors in 1961. Over the years, the school has changed. Today, Northside Christian Academy welcomes all students. It does not consider a student's race, color, or background when they apply. This applies to its learning programs, admissions, and sports.
Knights Athletics
The Northside Knights sports teams compete in the NCISAA class 1A/2A state level. They are part of the Metrolina Athletic Conference (MAC).
Basketball Success
The boys' basketball team has won many state titles in recent years. They are coached by Byron Dinkins, a former NBA player. The girls' basketball team has also done very well. Their coach is Ashley McGuirt, who played basketball in college.
Track and Field Achievements
The boys' track team has been very strong. They won the NCISAA Championship for 1A and 2A schools in 2004 and 2007. The girls' track team also did well, finishing second in the 2007 NCISAA Track Meet. The track and field program is considered a very important part of the school's sports. It has been one of the most successful teams for over 40 years.
