Nuffield Place is a beautiful country house located near the village of Nuffield. It sits in the Chiltern Hills in South Oxfordshire, England. The house is about 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Wallingford.
This historic home was finished in 1914. Sir William Morris, who later became known as Viscount Nuffield, made it bigger in 1933. He lived there until he passed away in 1963. Lord Nuffield was a very important person. He founded the Morris Motor Company, which made cars. He was also a generous person who gave a lot of money to help others.
After his death, Lord Nuffield left Nuffield Place and everything inside it to Nuffield College, Oxford. He wanted it to be a museum. Later, the college gave the house and some of the land to the National Trust. The National Trust is a charity that looks after special places in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
