O'Malley Peak is a cool mountain in Alaska. It stands about 5,150 feet (1,570 meters) tall. This peak is part of the Chugach Mountains. It is located near Anchorage Municipality.

You can find O'Malley Peak inside Chugach State Park. It's about 12 miles (19 km) southeast of downtown Anchorage. The mountain is also close to Mount Williwaw and The Ramp. The Ramp is its closest taller neighbor. People can reach the summit by hiking the Powerline Trail. There are also some fun scramble routes to the top.

Who Was Dr. James O'Malley?

Dr. James O'Malley was a respected doctor. He moved to Anchorage in 1946. He worked there as a doctor until he passed away in 1974. He was one of the first doctors in the city. Many people admired him, both his fellow doctors and his patients. There is also a school and a road in Anchorage named after him. This shows how important he was to the community.
