Oakdowns is a suburb located in Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania, Australia. It is part of the City of Clarence area. In 2016, about 1,468 people lived here. Many houses in Oakdowns have amazing views of Mount Wellington and Ralphs Bay. It's also just a 20-minute drive to Hobart's city center.

Oakdowns Park is the main park here. A small stream, called a rivulet, runs through it. It's a perfect place for playing ball games. Many families come here to enjoy the play equipment. People also love walking their dogs in the park.
You can also find a bike trail nearby. This trail follows the South Arm Highway all the way to the city. It's known as the Intercity Cycleway.
