What Happened During the Fires?

Most Expensive Fire
The Tubbs Fire was one of the biggest and most damaging fires. It caused over $1 billion USD in damage. This made it the most expensive wildfire in California's history at that time. Other important fires included the Atlas Fire and the Nuns Fire.
Impact on Air Quality
The wildfires created a lot of smoke. This smoke caused serious problems with the air quality, especially around the San Francisco Bay Area. People were advised to stay indoors because the air was unhealthy to breathe.
