Where is Ojo Encino Located?
Ojo Encino is in the northeast part of McKinley County. It is about 29 miles (47 km) west of a town called Cuba. It is also about 120 miles (193 km) northeast of Gallup. Gallup is the main city in McKinley County.
The community sits on the west side of a valley. This valley is formed by Encino Wash. Encino Wash is a small stream that flows southeast. It eventually joins other streams like Torreon Wash and Arroyo Chico. These streams then flow into the Rio Puerco. The Rio Puerco is a tributary of the much larger Rio Grande.
