Ola is a place in eastern Elko County, Nevada, United States, that used to be a small community. Today, it is known as a ghost town. A ghost town is a place where most people have left, and not much is left of the original buildings. Ola also has a railroad siding, which is like a short extra track next to a main railway line where trains can wait or pass each other.
What is Ola Like Today?
The area where Ola used to be is found on the western edge of the Great Salt Lake Desert. It is just west of West Wendover. You can find it about 3.2 miles (5.1 km) southwest of the Ola Interchange. This interchange is Exit 407 on Interstate 80 in Nevada and U.S. Route 93 Alternate.
Today, there is not much left at the site of Ola. You will mostly find the railroad siding. This means that almost all signs of the old community are gone.
