Omar Bravo's Club Career

Omar Bravo played for many different football clubs during his career. He started his journey in Mexico and also played in Spain and the United States.

Playing for Guadalajara

Bravo joined the Guadalajara youth team when he was young. He made his first game with the main team on February 17, 2001. By 2002, he became a regular player, scoring 6 goals in 15 games. He even won the "Best Rookie" award that year.

In 2005, Bravo was one of the top goal scorers in the league with 12 goals. This helped him win the "Best Forward" award. In 2006, he helped Guadalajara win the championship title. He scored an important goal in the final game, and Guadalajara won the championship. He was again named the "Best Forward."

In 2007, Bravo scored goals in the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. He scored two goals in the final, but Guadalajara lost in a penalty shootout. He was one of the top scorers in that tournament with four goals. Later that year, he won the "Golden Boot" for scoring the most goals (11) in the league.

Coming Back to Guadalajara

In 2010, it was announced that Bravo would join Kansas City Wizards in the United States for the 2011 season. Before leaving, he helped Guadalajara reach the finals of the Copa Libertadores, where they finished as runner-up.

Playing in the United States: Sporting Kansas City

When Bravo arrived in Kansas City, he was very happy to join the team. He believed that the level of play in Major League Soccer (MLS) was very good. In his first game for Sporting Kansas City, he scored two goals, helping his team win 3–2. He scored nine goals for Kansas City and was named the MLS Latino Player of the Year.
