In 2005, Bravo was one of the top goal scorers in the league with 12 goals. This helped him win the "Best Forward" award. In 2006, he helped Guadalajara win the championship title. He scored an important goal in the final game, and Guadalajara won the championship. He was again named the "Best Forward."
In 2007, Bravo scored goals in the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. He scored two goals in the final, but Guadalajara lost in a penalty shootout. He was one of the top scorers in that tournament with four goals. Later that year, he won the "Golden Boot" for scoring the most goals (11) in the league.

Time in Spain: Deportivo La Coruña
On May 22, 2008, Omar Bravo moved to Spain to play for Deportivo de La Coruña. He joined as a free agent, meaning his contract with Guadalajara had ended. In his first game for Sporting Kansas City, he scored two goals, helping his team win 3–2. He scored nine goals for Kansas City and was named the MLS Latino Player of the Year.
Cruz Azul and Atlas

In December 2011, Bravo returned to Mexico to play for Cruz Azul. He scored two goals in one game, but he felt he didn't perform as well as he wanted. Because of this, he was later loaned to Atlas.

On September 26, he scored two more goals against their big rivals, América, making him the all-time top scorer for Guadalajara in all competitions.
In October 2015, he scored the only goal in a semi-final match. The next month, he led the team to win the Copa MX final on November 4, 2015. This was Guadalajara's first major title in nine years. Bravo scored 11 goals in 34 games during the 2015–2016 season. On July 10, 2016, he scored his last goal for Guadalajara, helping them win their first Supercopa MX title. This win also earned Guadalajara a spot in the 2017 Copa Libertadores.
Loans to Carolina RailHawks and Phoenix Rising FC
In July 2016, Bravo signed with the NASL club Carolina RailHawks (now North Carolina FC). He was the first Mexican player to join that club.
