Omar Bravo Tordecillas, born on March 4, 1980, is a famous Mexican football player who used to play as a striker, scoring many goals. He is also a football manager. Omar Bravo spent most of his career playing for the club Guadalajara. He played over 400 games for them and scored 160 goals, which makes him the top scorer in the club's history!

Club Career Highlights
Playing for C.D. Guadalajara (First Time)
Omar Bravo started his football journey in the youth system of Guadalajara. He played his very first game with the main team on February 17, 2001. By 2002, he became a regular player, scoring 6 goals in 15 games and earning the 'Best Rookie' award.
He continued to shine, becoming one of the top goal scorers in the 2005 Clausura tournament with 12 goals. This helped him win the 'Best Forward' award. In 2006, Omar Bravo was a key player when Guadalajara won the Apertura championship title. He scored an important goal in the final match against Toluca, helping his team win 3-2 overall. He was the top scorer for his club in that tournament with 8 goals and won another 'Best Forward' award.
In 2007, he also scored many goals in the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. He even scored two goals in the final against Pachuca. He was the joint-top scorer in that tournament with four goals. Later that year, he won the 'Golden Boot' award for scoring the most goals (11 in 17 matches) in the 2007 Clausura league.
On April 26, 2008, Omar Bravo scored his 100th goal for Guadalajara! He was only the second player in the club's history to reach this amazing milestone. He played his last game in his first time with Guadalajara on May 17, scoring a goal in the quarter-finals.
Time in Spain with Deportivo de La Coruña
In May 2008, Omar Bravo moved to Spain to play for Deportivo de La Coruña. He joined another Mexican player, Andrés Guardado, on the team. He played his first game in the Spanish league, La Liga, on August 31 against Real Madrid. On December 8, he scored his first goal for the club from a penalty kick. Even though he scored, his time in Spain was short, and he only played nine league games.
Loan to Tigres UANL
In March 2009, Omar Bravo returned to Mexico for a short time. He played for Tigres UANL on loan, making 6 appearances.
Back to C.D. Guadalajara (Second Time)
After his loan, Omar Bravo came back to Guadalajara in August 2009. He signed a new contract and was soon named the team's captain. In 2010, he helped Guadalajara reach the finals of the Copa Libertadores, a big South American club tournament, where they finished as runner-up.
Playing for Sporting Kansas City
In 2011, Omar Bravo moved to the United States to play for Sporting Kansas City in the MLS. He was very excited to join the team. In his very first game, he scored two goals, helping his team win 3-2. He scored nine goals for Sporting Kansas City and was even named the 'MLS Latino Player of the Year'!
Joining Cruz Azul

In December 2011, Omar Bravo returned to Mexico again, this time to play for Cruz Azul. He scored two goals in a game against San Luis F.C.. However, he later felt that his time with Cruz Azul wasn't as successful as he hoped.
Loan to Atlas

In December 2012, Omar Bravo went on loan to Atlas. This club is a big rival of his first team, Guadalajara, which made it an interesting move!
Return to C.D. Guadalajara (Third Time)
Omar Bravo made his third return to Guadalajara in June 2013. By December, he was once again named the team captain. In his first game back on January 4, 2014, he scored a goal very early in the match.
On August 12, 2015, Omar Bravo scored two goals against Morelia. This made him Guadalajara's all-time top scorer in league games, passing the club legend Salvador Reyes! On September 26, he scored two more goals against their big rivals, América, making him the club's all-time top scorer in all competitions too.
He continued to lead the team to success. In October 2015, he scored the winning goal in a semi-final match. The next month, on November 4, he helped Guadalajara win the Copa MX final against León. This was the club's first big title in nine years! Omar Bravo scored his last goal for Guadalajara on July 10, 2016, helping them win the Supercopa MX title.
Loan to Carolina RailHawks
In July 2016, Omar Bravo went on loan to the Carolina RailHawks, a club in the NASL in the United States. He was the first Mexican player to join this team.
Loan to Phoenix Rising FC
In February 2017, Omar Bravo joined Phoenix Rising FC, a club in the USL league. He played for them until September of that year.
Playing for Leones Negros UdeG
In July 2019, Omar Bravo decided to come out of retirement to play for UdeG for the 2019-2020 season. He even played in a special anniversary game for the club.
International Career
Omar Bravo also proudly represented his country, Mexico, in many international football tournaments. He played for Mexico's youth teams and even in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
One of his most memorable moments was at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. On June 11, 2006, he scored two goals in Mexico's 3-1 win against Iran and was named the 'Man of the Match'!
He also played in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2007 and 2009, helping Mexico win the title in 2009. In the 2007 Copa América, he scored three goals for his country. Omar Bravo was a dedicated player for the Mexican national team for many years.
Managerial Career
In January 2024, Omar Bravo started a new role as a football manager for a club called Arizona Monsoon FC. He later left the club.
Personal Life
Omar Bravo was so well-known that he even appeared on the North American cover of the video game FIFA 06, alongside famous players like Ronaldinho!
