Sidney Brown (born August 21, 1976), known as Omen, is an American music producer from Harlem, New York. He creates the music and beats for songs. Omen has worked with many famous artists. Some of these include Drake, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, and Ludacris.

Early Music Career

Omen started his career by producing songs for early Roc-A-Fella artists. He helped create music for Memphis Bleek and Amil. For example, he produced "Everybody" on Memphis Bleek's first album, Coming of Age. He also produced "No 1 Can Compare" for Amil's album, All Money Is Legal.

He also produced songs for other popular artists. These include "Change You or Change Me" for Fabolous and "Taste This" for Mýa. Omen also created the full musical background, called a score, for the movie Paper Soldiers in 2002.

Winning a Grammy Award

In 2006, Omen produced a song called "Tell It Like It Is" for the rapper Ludacris. This song was part of Ludacris's album Release Therapy. This album won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album in 2007. A Grammy Award is a very important prize in the music world. Winning this award earned Omen his first Grammy award and certificate.

Omen also worked with Redman on his album Red Gone Wild. He produced the song "Soopaman Luva 6" for that album.

Working with Drake and Lil Wayne

Omen met Drake through another music producer, Noah "40" Shebib. This led to Omen co-producing the song "Shut It Down" for Drake's album, Thank Me Later.

He also worked with Noah "40" Shebib to co-produce "I'm Single" for Lil Wayne. This song was first on Lil Wayne's mixtape No Ceilings. The music video for "I'm Single" first appeared on MTV2 in April 2010. Later, "I'm Single" was officially released on Lil Wayne's album I'm Not A Human Being. This album became a number one hit on the Billboard 200 chart.
