Ona is a small community in West Virginia, United States. It's located in Cabell County, along a road called US 60. This road is also known as the old Midland Trail. Ona is about halfway between the towns of Barboursville to the west and Milton to the east.
Ona is home to about 4,512 people and covers an area of roughly 28 square miles. It is also part of a larger area called the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH, Metropolitan Statistical Area. This is a way to group nearby cities and towns together for things like population counting.

Cabell Midland High School
One important place is Cabell Midland High School. This is a large high school for students who live in the eastern part of Cabell County. It's a modern school with lots of sports facilities. Around 1,500 to 2,000 students attend this school.
Ona Speedway
Another cool landmark is the Ona Speedway. This is a popular spot for local stock-car racing competitions. Imagine fast cars zooming around a track! The Speedway has faced some challenges and closed a few times in the past. However, it has been open and running races continuously since 2006. A famous race car driver named Richard Petty even won a big NASCAR race here on August 11, 1970.
Ona Airpark
The third landmark is the Ona Airpark. This is a small airport with a runway that's about 3,154 feet long. It also has a taxiway for planes, 48 hangars (where planes are stored), and a parking lot. If you're interested in flying, you can even take flying lessons at Hangar 9 Aviation right there! The airport's special code is 12V. Air traffic control for planes landing or taking off from Ona Airpark is handled by Yeager Airport in Charleston. Ona Airpark does not have its own control tower.
Ona Little League Athletic Complex
Ona is also home to the Ona Little League Athletic Complex. This complex is part of the Ona Milton Little League. It's located just across the Mud River from the Ona Airpark. In the spring and fall, people from all over the area come to watch exciting baseball or softball games here. It's a great place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon or evening.
