Orchard Lake Village is a small city in Oakland County, Michigan. It's a northern suburb of Detroit, located about 27 miles (43 km) from downtown Detroit. The city is mostly surrounded by West Bloomfield Township.
A big part of Orchard Lake Village is covered by water. The most important water feature is Orchard Lake. This lake makes up about 30% of the city's total area. Orchard Lake Village is also home to St. Mary's Preparatory and SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary. You can also find the Orchard Lake Country Club and Pine Lake Country Club here.

Orchard Lake Village covers a total area of about 4.12 square miles (10.67 square kilometers). About 2.44 square miles (6.32 square kilometers) of this is land. The rest, about 1.68 square miles (4.35 square kilometers), is water. This means water makes up about 40.78% of the city's total area.
Lakes and Surroundings
Several lakes are either fully or partly within the city limits. These include Orchard Lake, Cass Lake, and Upper Straits Lake. The land in the city is hilly and high. Orchard Lake is the third-largest lake in Oakland County. Cass Lake is also partly in Orchard Lake Village. The city is surrounded by West Bloomfield Township. Only its northeast side touches Keego Harbor.
