Owl Peak is a tall mountain located in the northern part of the Teton Range. This impressive peak stands at 10,617 feet (3,236 m) high. It is found within the beautiful Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, USA. Owl Peak is just east of another mountain called Elk Mountain.

Where is Owl Peak Located?

This mountain sits west of Jackson Lake. You can see it across the lake from Lizard Creek Campground. To the north, the Teton mountains connect with the high, flat land of the Yellowstone Plateau. To the south of Owl Peak, you will find a deep valley called Webb Canyon.

How to Reach the Top

Getting to Owl Peak can be an exciting adventure. The easiest way to start is by taking a boat across Jackson Lake. You can land at Wilcox Point, which is near the start of the Berry Creek Trail. From there, you head west onto the Owl Creek Trail.

You will hike about 2 miles (3.2 km) along the Berry Creek and Owl Creek trails. After this hike, there isn't a clear path to the very top. You will need to climb off the trail for another 2 miles (3.2 km). This final part is a very steep climb to reach the summit of Owl Peak.
