The small island nation of Palau first joined the exciting world of the Summer Olympic Games in 2000. This big debut happened in Sydney, Australia. Since then, Palau has sent its athletes to compete in every Summer Olympics.

However, Palau has not yet taken part in any Winter Olympic Games. In the London 2012 Olympics, Palau proudly sent five athletes. These included two sprinters who ran fast races and a swimmer who competed in the pool.

So far, no athlete from Palau has won an Olympic medal. But competing in the Olympics is a huge achievement for any country!
