Paris Michael Lenon, born on November 26, 1977, is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). A linebacker is a player who helps stop the other team from scoring.
He played college football for the Richmond Spiders. After college, he joined the Carolina Panthers in 2000. He also played for the Memphis Maniax in the XFL. Paris Lenon was the last active NFL player who had also played in the XFL (2001).
During his NFL career, he played for several teams. These included the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and Denver Broncos.

Early Life and High School Football
Paris Lenon grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. He went to Heritage High School. There, he was a talented athlete.
He earned two varsity letters in both football and basketball. He also earned one letter in baseball. In football, he played as a free safety and quarterback. He was named the Western District Defensive Player of the Year. Paris Lenon graduated from Heritage High School in 1995.
College Football Career
After high school, Lenon attended the University of Richmond. He played football there for four years. For three of those years, he was a starter on the team.
In 1997, he had a great season. He made 104 tackles, which was his highest in college. He was chosen for the First-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference that year. In his senior year, 1998, he was named to the second-team All-Atlantic 10. He finished his college career having played 45 games. He made 320 tackles, 12 sacks, and forced four fumbles.

Paris Lenon had a long career in professional football. He played for many teams in different leagues.
Carolina Panthers
After the 2000 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers signed Lenon. He was an undrafted free agent, meaning no team picked him in the draft. However, the Panthers released him on June 9, 2000.
Memphis Maniax
Lenon did not play football in 2000. In 2001, he joined the Memphis Maniax. This team was part of the XFL, which only played for one season.
Green Bay Packers (First Time)
After the XFL season ended, Lenon signed with the Green Bay Packers. This happened on April 26, 2001. However, the Packers released him on July 24, 2001.
Seattle Seahawks
Lenon then signed with the Seattle Seahawks on August 16, 2001. He was with them for a short time. The Seahawks released him on August 27, 2001.
Green Bay Packers (Second Time)
Lenon rejoined the Packers on December 27, 2001. He was part of their practice squad. He stayed with them through the rest of the season and the playoffs.
After that season, he played for the Amsterdam Admirals. This team was in NFL Europe in the spring of 2002. In 2002, Lenon played in all 16 games for the Packers. He mostly played on special teams. He continued to play in all 16 games in 2003 and 2004. In 2004, he started four games as a linebacker. Lenon started 12 games in 2005. This was his last season with the Packers.
Detroit Lions
Lenon signed a three-year contract with the Detroit Lions on March 22, 2006. On December 23, 2007, he made a big play. He intercepted a pass and ran it 61 yards for a touchdown. This helped the Lions win 25–20 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
His 2007 season was his best. He made 116 tackles and forced 2 fumbles. He also had 1 interception. In 2008, he led the team in tackles again. He started all 16 games for the Lions for three years in a row.
New England Patriots
Lenon signed with the New England Patriots on May 27, 2009. He was released by the team on September 5, 2009.
St. Louis Rams
Lenon signed with the St. Louis Rams on September 16, 2009. He became the starting weak side linebacker. This happened after another player was traded. Lenon tied for the team lead with three forced fumbles.
Arizona Cardinals
Lenon signed with the Arizona Cardinals on March 15, 2010. He played for them for three seasons.
Denver Broncos
On August 20, 2013, Lenon signed with the Denver Broncos. During the Broncos' 2013 season, he played in 14 regular season games. He also played in three postseason games. This included Super Bowl XLVIII, the championship game.
