Paris Michael Lenon (born November 26, 1977) is a former American football player. He was a talented linebacker who played for many teams in the NFL. He also played in the XFL, another football league.
Paris Lenon was first signed by the Carolina Panthers in 2000. He then played for the Memphis Maniax in the XFL. After that, he joined several NFL teams, including the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and Denver Broncos. He was the last active NFL player to have also played in the XFL.

Growing Up and High School Sports
Paris Lenon grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. He went to Heritage High School. There, he was a great athlete, earning letters in football, basketball, and baseball.
In football, he played as a free safety and quarterback. He was even named the Western District Defensive Player of the Year. Paris graduated from Heritage High School in 1995.
College Football Career
Paris Lenon went to the University of Richmond for college. He played football for four years and was a starter for three of those years. In 1997, he made a career-high 104 tackles.
He was chosen for the First-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference in 1997. In his senior year, 1998, he was named to the second-team All-Atlantic 10. By the end of his college career, he had played 45 games. He made 320 tackles, had 12 sacks, and forced four fumbles.
Professional Football Journey
Starting with the Carolina Panthers
After the 2000 NFL draft, Paris Lenon was signed by the Carolina Panthers. This means he joined the team even though he wasn't picked in the draft. However, he was released by the team in June 2000.
Playing in the XFL
After not playing football in 2000, Lenon joined the Memphis Maniax in the XFL. This league only played for one season in 2001.
First Time with the Green Bay Packers
After the XFL season, Lenon signed with the Green Bay Packers in April 2001. But he was released by the team a few months later in July 2001.
Brief Time with the Seattle Seahawks
Lenon then signed with the Seattle Seahawks in August 2001. However, he was released by them just a few days later.
Back with the Green Bay Packers
Paris Lenon rejoined the Packers in December 2001. He was part of their practice squad for the rest of the season and the playoffs. After that season, he played for the Amsterdam Admirals in NFL Europe in 2002.
In 2002, Lenon played in all 16 games for the Packers. He mostly played on special teams, which are plays like kickoffs and punts. He continued to play in all 16 games in 2003 and 2004. In 2004, he started four games as a linebacker. In 2005, his last season with the Packers, he started 12 games.
Time with the Detroit Lions
Lenon signed a three-year deal with the Detroit Lions in March 2006. On December 23, 2007, he made an amazing play. He intercepted a pass and ran it back 61 yards for a touchdown! This helped the Lions win the game 25–20.
His 2007 season was his best. He made 116 tackles and forced 2 fumbles. He also had 1 interception. In 2008, he was the team leader in tackles. He started all 16 games for the Lions for three years in a row.
New England Patriots
Paris Lenon signed with the New England Patriots in May 2009. However, he was released by the team in September 2009.
St. Louis Rams
Lenon then signed with the St. Louis Rams in September 2009. He became the starting weak side linebacker. He tied for the team lead with three forced fumbles that season.
Arizona Cardinals
Lenon signed with the Arizona Cardinals in March 2010. He played for them for three seasons.
Denver Broncos
On August 20, 2013, Lenon was signed by the Denver Broncos. During the Broncos' 2013 season, he played in 14 regular season games. He also played in three playoff games, including Super Bowl XLVIII.
