Parma is a city located in Canyon County, Idaho, United States. In 2010, about 1,983 people lived there. This was more than the 1,771 people who lived there in 2000.

Parma is the fourth biggest city in Canyon County. It is also the largest city in the western, more rural part of the county. Parma is part of the larger area around Boise City and Nampa. The city was named after the city of Parma, Italy.

Parma's Location and Land Area

Parma covers a total area of about 1.11 square miles (2.85 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, about 1.10 square miles (2.80 square kilometers). A very small part, about 0.01 square miles (0.05 square kilometers), is water.

Parma's Climate and Weather

Parma has a "cold semi-arid climate." This means it's usually dry, but not a desert, and it can get quite cold.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in Parma was 110°F (43°C). This happened on July 12 and 13, 2002. The coldest temperature recorded was a very chilly -35°F (-37°C) on December 25, 1924.
