Patrice Roberts was born on April 11, 1986. She is a talented soca singer from Trinidad and Tobago. She is also a second cousin to another famous singer, Bunji Garlin.
Patrice first became well-known in 2005. This was thanks to a popular song called "The Islands." She sang this song with her cousin Bunji Garlin. The song was so good that it was used in TV ads to promote tourism in Trinidad and Tobago!

About Patrice Roberts
Patrice Roberts grew up in a small fishing village called Toco in Trinidad. She went to Toco AC School for primary school and then Toco Composite Secondary School. She started singing when she was only eight years old. Besides singing, she also played the tenor steelpan, which is a musical instrument made from steel drums.

Patrice Roberts has won many awards and competitions throughout her career.
Early Wins
When she was younger, Patrice won the Sangre Grande Junior Calypso Monarch competition in 1995. This was a big step for her. In 2000, she was a top finalist in the same competition.
The year 2001 was amazing for Patrice. She won three big titles:
- The National Soca Monarch
- The National Library Calypso Monarch
- The National Junior Calypso Monarch
She won the National Junior Calypso Monarch again in 2002. She also won the Toco Personality Winner in 2000 and placed second in a U.N.D.P. competition in 2001.
International Soca Monarch
Patrice has also competed several times in the International Soca Monarch competition in Trinidad. This is a very important event for soca artists.
- In 2006, she came in second place in the "Groovy" category with a song called "Always Be." She sang this song with Zan.
- In 2007, her song "Light it Up" with Machel Montano placed fourth in the "Power" category.
- In 2008, she again placed second in the "Groovy" category with her song "More Wuk."
Road March Victory
One of her biggest achievements was winning the 2006 Road March competition. She won this with the song "Band of the Year," which she sang with Machel Montano. The Road March is a highly anticipated competition during Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago. The winning song is played most often during the street parades.
