History of Patrick
Patrick has a special old train station called the Seaboard Air Line Railway Depot. It's so important that it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. This means it's a historic building worth protecting!
Where is Patrick Located?
Patrick is in the southeastern part of Chesterfield County. It's part of a unique area called the Sandhills region. This region is known for its sandy soil and rolling hills.
Getting Around Patrick
A main road, U.S. Route 1, goes right through the town. If you drive northeast on US 1, you'll reach Cheraw in about 13 miles. If you go southwest, you'll get to McBee in about 15 miles.
Another important road, South Carolina Highway 102, crosses US 1 in the middle of Patrick. This highway leads north to Chesterfield (about 12 miles away) and south to Hartsville (about 15 miles away).
