Early Life and Career

Paul Brook was born and grew up in Birmingham, England. He now lives in Caithness, Scotland, near a village called Watten. From a young age, Paul was very interested in how the mind works. He was especially curious about hypnosis. Early in his career, he worked as a psychotherapist and had his own therapy office in Birmingham.

In 2004, Paul decided to change his career. He became a full-time professional mind reader. This was a big step into the world of entertainment.

Becoming a Published Author

Paul's career as a writer began in September 2007. A well-known magic magazine called Genii reviewed his first public work, The Brook Test. This helped him become known as a technical author in the field of mentalism.

In April 2007, a famous magician named James Brown praised Paul. James Brown had won the Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year award in 2006. He said Paul was one of the best mind readers in the UK.

First Public Shows

Paul performed his first public stage show in October 2007. The show was called Open to Influence. It ran for two nights and was a big success. A reviewer said that the audience really enjoyed the show. They also noted how smooth and well-planned Paul's performance was.

During 2012 and 2013, Paul worked as a consultant for a TV show. It was a 10-episode series about mind reading and magic called 'Draíocht'. The show starred an Irish TV personality and magician named Rua. It first aired in Spring 2014 on the channel TG4.

In April 2016, Paul gave a live online lecture for Penguin Magic. People from all over the world could watch it.
